This is it, folks, tonight is the night when we all celebrate the best of the best in Canadian music. Celebrating the 46th year, the JUNO Awards – and since 2017 is also Canada’s 150th anniversary, you know this year’s JUNO Awards is going to kick all kinds of musical ass.

Named in tribute to Pierre Juneau, a Montréaler and the first chairperson of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the JUNO Awards was originally known as the RPM Gold Leaf Awards before becoming the JUNO Awards in 1971. The first broadcast, however, did not take place until 1975.

Canada is home to some truly talented artists, and while we support all of them, we want to highlight the 2017 JUNO nominees from Québec!

Here are 13 artists/bands from Québec that everyone needs to cheer for tonight.

It’s time to JUNO & Chill, and yes, you need to watch at least 20 minutes of the awards 😉 [After that, well, we don’t need to know]

Be sure to tweet us at @UrbanGuideQC and tell us which JUNO moments are your favourite!

A fun little map of where each artist/band is from in Québec. You’re welcome.
